Make sure you have a gutter downspout adapter that goes from the gutter down spout pipe to your drain pipe - one with a filter to catch leaves. You'll also want an inline catch basin. Our catch basin holds a bunch of shingle gravel and you only need to clean it out every five years. It's only five inches wide so it fits in a trench so it's very easy to install.
Finally, you'll want to discharge with a pop-up emitter. Those are the three major components of a really good underground buried downspout system.
