We decided to purchase this fountain based on reviews and the aesthetics of it. It's 40 in tall with a wide footprint to prevent the cats from knocking it over! Yes, that was a concern. Easy to install, simple plug-in pump, screw in the clear plastic tubing to the fountains and plug in the lights. We added around seven gallons of water. This brought the water level up to the drain on the lowest pond when the pump is off. Easy way to check when you need water is to look in the hole. If you cannot see water when the pump is off, you may want to add half a gallon.
