The UN Human Rights Committee has given the Democratic Republic of Congo a year to report back on the actions it's taken to hold free and fair elections. [TAKE VO] The UN watchdog has asked for a report by November 2018. The UN has urged President Joseph Kabila's government to end to intimidation and human rights violations against opposition candidates. The organisation has also set up a fact-finding mission to investigate reports of atrocities in the country's troubled Kasai region. However, the D-R-C has insisted the justice system will deal with any crimes committed.
