TCU’s Department of Journalism and the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting hosted a symposium on the topic of the global food crisis and vulnerable populations on April 12, 2022. Panelists included Julie Butner, CEO of Tarrant Area Food Bank; Melanie Saltzman, journalist for PBS NewsHour Weekend; Paul Skoczylas, deputy director of the Division for the UN System and Multilateral Engagement, World Food Programme, United Nations; and Megan Thompson, special correspondent for PBS NewsHour Weekend. The event was moderated by Patty Zamarripa, assistant professor of professional practice in journalism.
