As cyclonic storm ‘Fengal’ brought heavy rain and strong winds on Saturday, visuals that emerged on social media showed a flight struggling to land at the Chennai Airport.
The undated video showed a flight which was forced to abort landing immediately after touchdown at the airport amid powerful crosswinds and low visibility. CNN-News18 could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.
The alarming videos of the landing shocked social media users, with some questioning why flights were allowed to operate in such hazardous weather conditions.
