Heat 1 is up. Chip is sideways, he causes the bug crash. There were 30 cars in that mess. Chick, Darren, Jackson, and Van take advantage and take the lead. Buck Bearingly gets around Jackson and he knocks Van out of the lead. Smokey and Sarge are stalking the leaders. Can they get into the lead? Here comes Nigel. Smokey gets into the lead and he gets tangled up with Jackson storm. Sarge is slowly making a comeback. Can he get into the lead before the end of the race? Sarge gets behind Buck. Sarge slingshots off of Buck and he is in the lead. The first heat is over. Sarge, Buck Bearingly, Van and Darren Leadfoot will advance.
