The 2017 Student Team National Champions, sponsored by Vitamix, is Chefs de Cuisine Association of St. Louis, St. Louis, Missouri. The youth teams competed in a two-part competition: the edible cold food buffet platter and the signature four-course menu. In the edible cold food competition, teams prepared a buffet platter for 12. The market basket of ingredients included rabbit, peas, corn, red lentils and habanero chilies. Teams transitioned to prepare a signature four-course menu for four people in two hours and 10 minutes. The menu required a seafood starter course, salad course, main course and dessert course.
