As per title, a short Vid of the Quarry at Cardenden in the mid 80-s. The quarry is disused and currently owned by Breedon Aggregates.
The clip where the truck is dumping its load, is aggragate and not old Bowhill bing slag.

In the middle of the Vid, part of the quarry face is being infilled using colliery slag.
The Bing in Bowhill was being removed and this is one of the locations where the slag was dumped.

Every Monday, around 4.30pm, after we got home from Auchterderran Junior High our houses shook, windows rattled and then we heard the boom from rock blasting.
You could see and hear the shock wave as it travelled down the street as the windows shook and the houses trembled.
