I started working on this the day after this song was released because i was gripped by only the fiercest urge. Here i am little more than a week later. Unfortunately i will never be able to listen to this song again without fixating on its specific parts. Otherwise, this was a test of my skill and will to see if i could fully animate a video purely with framebyframe animation, since I have been getting more comfortable with it lately. I do feel like this is a little bland after having watched my finished work over and over to make sure it flows properly and it is completely nonsensical to those unaware of the story behind it (as all my animations tend to be) but I am proud of myself regardless. It's a big achievement for me :-) I did this all using blender's greasepencil.
The perspective this video takes is from where ohau is *meant* to be told as a story, though without a lot of essential context and important events. It's like a basic idea of how things go up to a certain point. Just focuses on the arc that Mel and Beau have together as it is right now without the internal nuance you'd only get from a written story.
