This video shows my wife and I launching our large tender. The boat is an Egret 189 flats fishing boat and is 18'9" plus the motor which makes it just about 22'. It's larger than a typical tender and it is obviously not inflatable. The tender that is out of view on the starboard side is a Walker Bay 450 (15' with a 70hp Yamaha) which is inflatable and is a more typical tender.
The flats boat is great because it has speed, range, and comfort. The inflatable is nice to have aboard because we can let guests run it and not worry about them banging it up or banging it into the big boat. It's basically a big fender.
A friend of mine who also carries a fiberglass tender on his Nordhavn is quoted as saying "that's not a tender, that's a fender" when referring to the RIB tenders carried by other boats.
