This are great exercises for all instrumentalists and singers. Your musical ear is trained extremely during these exercises. They work on the principle: call & response. The one-bar phrases are played to you, and you should play them back as accurately as possible. All phrases are based on the pentatonic scale (in c major: c d e g a). Since the musical phrases are easy to hear, please pay close attention to the rhythmically correct reproduction.
