THAIS CARVALHO - FUSION BELLY DANCE STYLE
Thais Carvalho is a Brazilian Fusion Belly Dancer based in Brisbane and facilitator of the experience with Tribal Medicine Studies, a practical experiment with the use of auxiliary plants for Body Progress.
Focused on the study the Pelvis development before techniques and the efficiency practices around the muscles, based its studies on isolations and hips flexibility, the Workshop in Fusion Belly Dance Style will focus on internal muscle control, slow vocabulary, serpentine movements, and improvisation keys for musicality, including the practical experiment with Palo Santo Oils, Calendula, and Brazilian Rosemary before the start, connected to a different way to produce and extract plant Oils, the beautiful world of Spagyric medicines and Elixirs, incorporated to sustainable practices, in the valorization of Amazon and Cerrado Savannah Biomes and it`s importance to the world.
The intention is to study the botanical pharmacy behind the components from each elixir and how they may affect your body for dance/movement, some containing high levels of cineole conducing positively lungs and breathwork.
MIRAMAR TOKATLI - MIDDLE EASTERN BELLY DANCE
Miramar is an Oriental dance artist, teacher, and choreographer based in Brisbane.
Miramar has grown up in The Middle East in Syria and traveled around its beautiful countries like Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq. Her dancing journey has started since her early childhood learning belly dance roots and traditional dance of the different regions socially and professionally. 12 years ago she started teaching and performing in the Middle East and then moved to Australia.
Her dance style is influenced by the traditional dances of her country like Dabke, Samai, Tarrab, and Bedouin and also by the natural flow of the dance form as danced authentically.
In the Middle Eastern Style workshop, Mira will share the oriental belly dance and Dabke techniques and combos focused on finding rhythms and movements, keeping the natural flow on the dance floor with group and improvisation drills, creating a connection with its essence and practice using body and facial gestures to express yourself and engage your audience.
