Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned indefinitely within 15 minutes on the last day of the session. The last 20-odd days have seen frequent adjournments without any business having being transacted. Four no-confidence motions have been pending in the Lower House and Speaker Sumitra Mahajan had to repeatedly adjourn the House claiming it was not in order. Protests demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh, the setting up of the Cauvery water tribunal and the PNB banking scam rocked both Houses over the last three weeks.
