The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) issued a notice to the Delhi government that the schools are being operational despite the dangerous air quality index (AQI) levels in the national capital.
The air quality has deteriorated to 'severe' in the last few days, according to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data.
NCPCR Chairperson Priyank Kanoongo has written to the chief secretary and strongly recommended considering appropriate action.
