🇮🇸 To travel to Greenland, you have to either pass through Iceland or Denmark. Since I’m based in Reykjavík, Iceland, it was a no-brainer to hop on an Air Greenland flight that goes directly to Nuuk, the capital of Greenland.
✈️ The flight is only 3 hours and it opens up a whole world of awesome adventures.
🤓 Here are some ways you can spend 3-days or more in the city:
⭐️ I stayed at Hotel Aurora in Nuuk. A lovely hotel close to everything in the city and its theme is based on the Northern Lights.
⭐️ Have a relaxing afternoon in the hot tub and sauna at @inukhostels by @inuktravel. The view is unreal!!! 😍
⭐️ Go on an amazing tour of Qoornoq, an Old Greenlandic fishing village, with @nuukwatertaxi. There is a swing in the abandoned fish factory that is so much fun to use.
⭐️ Visit the National Museum of Greenland and the Art Museum to learn fascinating facts about Greenlandic culture, history, and art.
⭐️ There are so many amazing locals here and I had the honor of meeting @rakel_angakker, an Inuit Shaman. If you feel called to do so, book her for a drum journey. It’s a transformational experience. ❤️
🌱As someone that is plant-based, it was awesome to know that places like Cafe Pascucci have delicious vegan options.
🧊This is literally just the tip of the iceberg of things you can see and do in Nuuk, Greenland and I want to come back during summer to do even more. 🥳
❤️ Shout out to @child_of_the_arctic, @visitgreenland and @visitnuuk for inviting me and putting all of this together. 🤗
