After 900 miles I had both upper and lower pivot bearings replaced under warranty at a local Trek dealer. Had a chance to try it out a week later and it was squeaking and creaking even louder than before the bearings were replaced. I then took it to a company owned Trek store and they re-checked to torque settings and it still creaked. FIX: He then lubed each pivot with Tri-Flow Superior Lube and creaking was gone!
