I have visited Coventry Market for the first time and found it very interesting. Fruits, vegetables and meat were very fresh and cheap. I recommend this market for everyone who lives around Coventry. The building was opened by Princess Alexandra in 1958 and at the time was heralded as one of the best equipped markets in Europe.

It replaced the old market which was destroyed in the blitz during World War II, and became an essential meeting place for people in the city, especially because a lot of the commercial and leisure spaces in Coventry had been destroyed.
