Learn the difference between a chip shot and a pitch shot in golf

In this video we explain the key difference between a chip shot and a pitch shot in golf. We review how both are largely the same, near the green shots. However, in a pitch shot, you’ll see wrist action in the backswing and a release of the club whereas for a chip shot the wrist action is more muted and smaller in scale, both in the backswing and after impact with the ball.

Don’t get too caught in the difference though and just remember that improving your chipping game (and your pitching game) will help reduce your golf scores.
