Sylvester Stallone surprised fans when he named Ryan Gosling as his replacement for Rambo, but he explains it's because Ryan was so fascinated by Rambo as a kid, and loves the character. Ryan also said that Stallone is one of his all time favourite actors, and it was exciting just to know that Stallone knew his name.

Many associate Ryan only with movies like Barbie, The Notebook and La La Land, but he’s done his fair share of action movies such as Blade Runner and The Gray Man, and he’s definitely got the lean physique, so maybe he could bring an interesting dynamic to the character.
