Remarkably, recently her Salam 'Ya Nabi Salam Alaika' or Islamic praise to the Prophet fused with Jikir, a religion-based folk songs popular in the Assam state of India composed and popularized by the 17th century Sufi saint and poet Hazrat Shah Miran, popularly known as Ajan Fakir got viral and trended in Bangladesh and amongst other islamic countries with over 1.5 million views in two days in facebook alone this Eid Ul Fiter.
Kalpana has been singing this Islamic Hymns in various platforms in India and the video which got viral was a stage performance she performed for inmates in Central Jail in Guwahati this April 2019.
