A Little Wisdom Helps You Become Smarter !
Steel sheet pile cofferdam is a kind of temporary water-retaining structure commonly used in water conservancy projects, bridge projects and other civil engineering construction !
Briefly speaking, many interconnected steel sheet piles (a type of section steel with interlocking joints) are driven into the ground and surround the area that needs construction (such as the position for the construction of bridge pier foundations). They form a circle like a surrounding wall. These steel sheet piles are tightly interlocked with each other to form a closed structure that can block the water and soil outside, thus creating a relatively dry construction space inside the cofferdam, which is convenient for underwater foundation construction operations such as foundation excavation and concrete pouring. After the construction is completed, the steel sheet piles can be pulled out and reused !
