Skeptics point out that no alien abduction has been observed by witnesses; even in the case of Travis Walton, which can be called the most sensational, fellow workers did not see the alleged abducted enter the UFO. Thus, abduction stories are essentially based on the testimonies of the so-called “abducted.” According to such testimonies, beings of alleged extraterrestrial origin would apparently erase the memory of the event in the “abducted” subject for an often prolonged period of time. The memory of the event could be recovered through regressive hypnosis sessions.
