How to book, When to Go and What to Pack?
1. How to book cheapest?
- Agoda:[ Ссылка ]
Use the above link to get back 5% after your stay is completed. And I suggest you book through agoda because I think it's the cheapest.
Especially, they have “lowest price policy” since 2019. If you find another website having a lower price than your booking, they will either match that rate or beat it.
If you have paid, they will refund. I tried and succeeded.
15 years ago, booking last minute was the way to go for a good deal. However with revenue management, hotels estimate how many rooms they will sell to the lowest rates, and they normally are sold to the earliest bookers.
There are 3 ways to book:
- Direct contact to the resort, it may take up to 1 or 2 days to respond. This will help you to know the package of the resort. But I see the price is higher than website agency about 30% and you must deposit.
- Via local tour agency. They show you some packages to choose or you can make a request, they will show you the price of your request. Sometime, they have good deal but you must deposit. I’m not sure that is safe, I still must contact the hotel to make sure it is their agency
- Through online booking websites like booking, agoda, expedia… I think it is the cheapest. You should book right when you know your vacation time. Don’t worry, you don’t have to pay immediately and easily cancel 7 days before check in. With my experience, You should book room 3 -5 months in advance and agoda has best price. Book now and cancel when you see better deal.

2. When to go?
A sun-kissed beach destination, Maldives is bustling with tourists all year round. While the monsoons generally last from April to August, the weather in Maldives is generally warm. The peak tourist season lasts between December and April when a number of Europeans come to soak in the warm winter sun.
3. What to pack?
- An adapter: Most of the luxury hotels provide you with an adapter, but you should bring your own just in case they don’t have it or if you need more than one.

- Snorkeling gear: Some resorts charge for mask and flippers, some not. But in case you want to have your own set and not use something that was previously worn by other people, then it’s always better to bring one with you!

- Swimwear: 2-3 bright swimming suits will contrast beautifully with the turquoise water. If I were you, I would go for 1 white, 1 orange or red (they make a very nice combination with the magical, turquoise sea) and maybe a blue one or one with a tropical print

- Fitflops: you’re going to live in your flipflops whilst in the Maldives, so take a pair that are robust enough to stand the heat! I LOVE my Fitflops – they’ve seen me through many beaches and destinations over the last 7 years (yes, seriously. Haven’t had to change them once!). They’re super-comfy and my feet never tire. Plus, they’re meant to tone my ass as I walk. Still waiting for THAT to happen.
