This is a Roman Catholic church founded by the Missionaries of Saint Daniele Comboni, Patriarch of the marginalized and the suffering in Africa (especially for their faith) during the late 1800s.
The government of Egypt has welcomed their endeavors and supported their humane cause.
Many African prominent visitors and refugees worship, peacefully, under the roof of this church, residence and school since 1880.
In homage to the spirit of brotherhood, leadership and kindness displayed by Egypt to Africa.
