Try this delicious and flavorsome malpua that are crisp on the edges with a soft center. Be it Holi , Diwali or any other celebrations, malpuas are the show stopper. Malpua are traditional North Indian pancakes made with maida/atta, curd ,khoya , milk , fennel and cardamon powder and saffron scented pancakes are coated with sugar syrup, and topped with nuts and rabri. Malpua does have a slight tang to them as the batter is made with curd.
Ingredients :
Khoya/mawa - 200 grams
Maida - 1 cup
Sugar - 2 cups
Suji/semolina - 1/4 cup
Milk - 11/2 cup
Curd - 1/2 cup
Fennel seeds , crushed - 1 tbsp
Green Cardamom ,powder - 8-10 pods
Black Pepper Corn , crushed - 1 tbsp
Saffron - 1/4 tsp
Water - 11/2 cup
