The Union Cabinet on Monday approved the women's reservation bill in a special meeting, reported Times Now, citing sources. The Cabinet met on the evening of September 18, 2023, after the first sitting of the special session of Parliament, amid speculation that it may clear some important legislative proposals. However, there was no word on what transpired in the meeting which lasted for over 90 minutes.
