Part 13 starts east of Lima at Ticlio Pass and then heads over the Marcopomacocha Pass and into the Santa Eulalia Valley along the most scary road I have ever seen. Species filmed at Ticlio are white-bellied cinclodes, white-winged diuca-finch and the amazing diademed sandpiper-plover. At Marcopomacocha we have slender-billed miner, and in the polylepis woodland in the upper parts of Santa Eulalia Valley we have a white-cheeked cotinga. The film ends with Andean condors, and a montage from the rest of the film to the tune of Condor Pasa by Grupo Inti Llacta.
The trip was organised by Gunnar Engblom of www.kolibriexpeditions.com based in Lima, Peru.
