2005 Mumby Cyber 48 | Kaitoro
Kaitoro is a 2005 Cyber 48 Catamaran designed by the renowned Tim Mumby, and is a design that has a strong following in Australia, Asia and the Pacific.
She is a refreshing mixture of cruising and performance, delivering a cruising speed of 7 knots and a comfortablu quick top speed comfortably quick.
Easily accommodating six people, Kaitoro has three queen-sized cabins that are well ventilated with fans and opening hatches.
Built in aluminium for light weight and strength, her high speed means you can cover a lot of ground within a short time and make it easier to reach those distant cruising grounds.
Freshwater usage is also of no concern, as she is fitted with a 90 litre/hour fresh watermaker.
A large, fast and comfortable catamaran, the Cyber 48 is constructed of 5083 marine-grade aluminum that is tough and stiff for blue-water sailing, yet flexible enough to withstand impacts without rupture, more so than steel and definitely more than fibreglass.
This is a true blue-water design, built with narrow hulls, high bridgedeck clearance, flexible sail plans and light weight, and averaging more than 200nm a day on Kaitoro is the norm. You’ll be sailing in 5 knots of wind or trying to slow it down above 15 knots! This is one of those rare designs – a true sailor’s cat and a fast passagemaker.
