As the envy of every kid who didn’t have one, the Honda Mini Trail is one of the most easily recognizable mini bikes in existence. Fun to ride at any age, these 49cc three speed pint-sized bikes are impossible to use without smiling.
Featured are two generations, the K1 & K2. The K2 shed the classic Honda wing emblem popular from the 1960’s from the K1 in lieu of a stylized typeface gas tank and headlight badge set. It also saw the addition of a rear brake foot lever. Both of these variants are hard-tail models and rear suspension was not an addition until 1978 with the release of the K3 model. Almost identical in all other aspects, the K1 & K2 Honda Mini Trail bikes were an instant classic and remain at the core of many rider stories.
This is not a paid promotion for Honda. We simply love showcasing functional old machinery.
