I spent a week on Thailand’s quarantine island! This is my Phuket Sandbox Experience in 2022.

In all of my previous travels to Thailand, I always avoided going to Phuket: the biggest and most popular island in the whole country. At it's peak, it welcomed around 10 million tourists every year, but in 2020... Everything stopped.

Travelling to Thailand during the pandemic became very difficult, unless you wanted to quarantine in a hotel room for 2 weeks. So, in an attempt to bring back tourists and revive the local economy - Thailand launched the Phuket Sandbox programme: a very new type of quarantine experience.

You can quarantine for 7 days in Phuket, freely exploring the best sights and things to do, with just a few conditions for entry. In this honest review video, I will show you what Phuket Sandbox travel REALLY looks like.
