Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with his Tamil Nadu counterpart, Chief Minister MK Stalin, to rally support against and thwart the Centre's ordinance pertaining to the control of administrative services in Delhi. Accompanied by AAP leader and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Minister Atishi Marlena, and AAP leader Raghav Chadha, Kejriwal engaged in discussions about the implications of the ordinance and underscored its undemocratic nature. Kejriwal stressed the significance of non-BJP parties uniting to collectively defeat the ordinance in the Rajya Sabha. The meeting witnessed the presence of DMK MPs Kanimozhi and TR Baalu, and a joint statement expressing their shared position on the issue was released by the chief ministers. AAP believes that if the opposition unites, there is a strong possibility of thwarting the ordinance in the Rajya Sabha, where the BJP holds 93 out of 238 seats. However, it is anticipated that the ordinance will be passed in the Lok Sabha. The meeting between Kejriwal and Stalin exemplifies their unwavering commitment to opposing the ordinance and garnering support from like-minded leaders.
