Yugoslav army tanks rumbled towards Croatia on Monday in a show of strength as tensions between Croats and Serbs rose.
The U-N confirmed that Bosnian Serb warplanes carried out a series of attacks in Central Croatia in reprisal for the fall of Krajina.
But Serbs in eastern occupied Croatia have struck back - with artillery duels raging around Osijek on the border of rebel-held territory in Slavonia.
Yugoslav tanks are heading towards the war-torn Krajina region.
APTV discovered a huge convoy of Yugoslav army tanks and other military vehicles heading towards the Yugoslav-Croatian border.
The convoy was spotted on the highway linking Belgrade and Zagreb near Sremska Mitrovica,
In the past days heavy artillery duels have also been raging around Croat towns on the border of rebel-held territory in the east of Krajina.
Croatian troops in Osijek fired heavy artillery overnight.
But Serb shells continue to fall in the town - leaving the streets deserted.
Many have fled the area - and many more are likely to follow.
