Meraf A. Wolle, M.D., M.P.H., is an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. She specializes in corneal and external disease, including cataracts, corneal transplants, and refractive surgery. Meet Dr. Wolle at [ Ссылка ]
Dr. Wolle received her M.D. degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and her M.P.H. degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Following an internship in internal medicine at The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, she completed her residency in ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute. Dr. Wolle completed a fellowship in Cornea and External Diseases at the Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor prior to joining the Wilmer faculty.
Her research interests include improving current corneal transplantation techniques and public health ophthalmology. Specifically, she has been researching streamlining the Descemet’s Membrane Ednothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK) procedure by creating preloaded DMEK tissue. She has also been doing work on understanding and contributing to the eradication of trachoma, the world's leading infectious eye disease.
