You might think it's the world's most depressing job, but this man says he ENJOYS digging graves.
David Homer, from Measham, Leicestershire, is dead certain he's in the right career after bagging the coveted Gravedigger of the Year award.
David, 49, says he enjoys the 'peace and quiet' of grave-digging and has dug 3,000 graves since starting his own business nearly 10 years ago.
He's even buried people in their own GARDEN and says the job beats his stints in the navy, working as a firefighter and as a mine worker.
The dad-of-three got into the trade after his wife, funeral manager, Amanda Woodward - who he met at a funeral - needed a favour.
The gravedigger often used by her company where she works as a funeral manager let them down, and she needed a grave digging urgently before she ended up six-feet under.
David stepped up to the mark and hasn't looked back since after admitting he found the morbid profession 'comforting'.
