The passions aroused by the Miners' Strike are still very real and alive so I would ask people to comment and be respectful of the YouTube community guidelines. Without whom we would not be able to share these videos for free and keep alive for prosperity one of the most significant turning points in modern British History.
For those of you who have been born since the Miners' Strike, it will be a lot harder for you to understand words like 'solidarity', 'community', 'Scab', and 'Blackleg' as we live in a new age of political correctness. However, there was a time when 'men' were simply 'men' and fought for what they believed, even when the odds were stacked against them: 'The pit wheels may have stopped turning, but the coal embers are still burning, deep in the hearts of South Yorkshire.
