Hello Everyone!
I am Ron and in this video I will be showing you the Etihad Business Class Experience on the JFK to Abu Dhabi Two & Fro flight. The aircraft is the Airbus A380 which is the world’s largest passenger airliner. I was travelling in Business class and took the opportunity to shoot some clips of the whole experience.
I had spent about a week in New York City taking in the sights and sounds of the environment and then made my way to the airport.
The JFK Airport was busy as usual. I completed the check-in process, passed through Immigration and security and then made my way to the Etihad Business class lounge located on the 1st floor or level 2 as they call it in the United States.
The Etihad Business Class lounge was pretty huge and I made my way to a comfortable revolving seat. After keeping my bags beside the seat to mark my spot, I got a beer from the bar and then had some hummus with rice and pickle from the buffet.
It was time to board the aircraft and I made the long walk to the upper deck. The First Class and Business Class passengers are allowed to board first.
There are two pathways that make it to the aircraft. One for the Upper deck passengers and one for the lower deck passengers. The business class and First Class seats are located on the upper deck of the Airbus A380.
On entering the aircraft and moving to the business class section, the first thing you pass by is the lounge area for passengers. It’s a pretty comfortable zone to be in. However, I did not stop there - I made my way to my seat and put my luggage up in the overhead bin. There was ample space to fit to check-in suitcases.
There was a large tv screen at every seat . The seat also had a cushion on it. The ambient lighting in the cabin space was very soothing. Each passenger gets a travel pouch and is greeted with a hot towel and a glass of champagne or juice. I enjoyed the Champagne.
Looking at the travel pouch, there was a pair of sleeping socks, along with an eye mask and a dental kit, a small vile of perfume and a hand cream to go with it.
The controls of the screen were through a remote similar to a gaming console’s remote. Both the large screen and the remote were touch enabled. One could also place free calls to other passenger seats on the plane using the remote as a phone and dealing the seat number. There was ample storage space to keep any small items and a universal socket to charge your phone or laptop.
