Just a quick clip of firing a veteran arms 1795 Springfield with 150gr of 2f schuetzen blackpowder and a .648 round ball from a paper cartridge I made. The 1795 Springfield was the first US made musket and is still seen on insignia today. It is a carbon copy of the 1766 charleville that was used during the American Revolution. According to veteran arms and some other research, the first 3,500 of these muskets were unmarked from 1795-1799. In 1800 they started putting manufacturer markings and the Springfield eagle head on them that way they could tell which ones were genuine or fakes or if a manufacturer’s musket had an issue they could trace it back to them. This one is an unmarked reproduction of the 1795-1799 models. Forgotten weapons, 11 bang bang, and ‘I never met a gun I didn’t like’ all have good videos on these. Thanks.
