Does stretching remove adhesions? Stretching can cause tight muscle fibers to elongate back to their original and normal length, but if the muscles are filled with scar tissue, you could potentially make the pain worse.
That’s why I always recommend my patients spend time doing myofascial release techniques to complement their stretching exercises.
