Throughout the Second World War, there were a number of women who became guards inside of the concentration camps. Ravensbruck was the all female concentration camp, but one older woman was sent there to work. Elisabeth Marschall was a supporter of the Nazis, but she was ordered to work at the concentration camp because she was arrested. However she worked as a senior nurse, and it would not be long before she started becoming brutal and evil.
Inside of Ravensbruck, Elisabeth Marschall took part in the selections and the horrific experiments that took place in the medical facilities and the hospital. But after the war she would be sentenced to death for her involvement inside of the concentration camps, and it was believed that she was responsible for the deaths of many prisoners.
