Fifteenth and final round of the 1996 500cc Motorcycle Grand Prix Season. Àlex Crivillé collides with teammate and local hero Mick Doohan while battling for the lead on the final lap of the race, handing the race win over to Loris Capirossi in what was the last hurrah for the bikes at Eastern Creek Raceway.

NOTE: This was the last ever Motorcycle Grand Prix round televised by Channel Nine. Channel Ten took over the broadcast rights for the series in 1997 and still hold them to this very day.
