Rich results or features, appear in the search results / SERPs and one of the tools available for testing is the Rich results tool. How does this tool differ from the closely related structured data testing tool?
Lily Ray explains the overlap between the tools but that the Rich Results tool checks for Google's rich results, such as FAQ, HowTo and article mark-up. The structured data testing tool has a more comprehensive overview but may show information for schema markup that is not relevant for Google.
