Ajmer DSP Sandeep Saraswat has been put on APO (Awaiting Posting Order) by Rajasthan Police for allegedly suggesting the arrested cleric of Ajmer Dargah a way to evade prosecution.
This comes a day after the cleric Salman Chishti who was arrested for openly giving death threats to to BJP ex-spokesperson Nupur Sharma.
In a shocking development, a video of the Rajasthan police went viral social media on 6 July, in which the police personnel are seen coaching the arrested accused Salman Chishti to say that he was drunk while issuing death threats to Nupur Sharma so that it will be ‘easier to save him’.
In the video, while taking Chishti out of his house, someone from the police said “What exactly you were high on, while recording the video?” As the video proceeds, Chishti is heard saying that he does not drink. At this moment, DSP Sandeep Saraswat, said, “say that you were drunk so that it will be easy to save you.”
In another video, someone in the background tells Chishti, “stay relaxed, all has been arranged”
