Watch as I create a small mosaic inspired by lichen growing on a tree. This abstract mosaic design was created using various types of stone, along with some specially made glass pieces to represent the lichen. All the pieces are individually cut and set into a bed of pigmented tile adhesive (also known as thinset).

The mosaic was created as part of an art challenge to create a series of small mosaics inspired by images from nature. The mosaic measures 2.5x3.5 inches.
