OYO News | OYO Restricts Unmarried Couples |
OYO has been the most prominent platform that young couples have been using to book hotels for getaways. A key reason is that OYO allows even unmarried couples to book rooms, as opposed to most others who ask for proof of relationship before letting you stay. But now, this may change very soon. Oyo has introduced a new check-in rule for its partner hotels, starting in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut, which will be effective this year.
According to the updated guidelines, unmarried couples will no longer be allowed to check-in. All couples, including those with online reservations, will be required to provide valid proof of their relationship when checking in.
