Watch me walk The Greenburn Round 14, in the Lake District, which is route 4 from the Walking the Wainwright's book by Stuart Marshall.
The Greenburn Round hike is my sixth walk from the Walking the Wainwright's book, 6 of 36.
It was a 8 miles walk and the Wainwright Baggging included Steel Fell, Calf Crag, Gibson Knott, and Helm Crag.
The walk starts from a private road at Ghylls Foot which is a mile or so outside Grassmere. We parked on the main road on the past Ghylls Foot heading away from Grassmere, in a laybye to the right when you go past the farm. Once you start walking from the private road, you head up the hill, it pretty much all up hill until Steel Fell. This is the hardest part of the walk. Then all the other 2 fells are all on undulating grassy ground. This is a very easy walk by Lake District standards. The walk loops back after Helm Crag and there is some road walking to get you back to the car.
