Majority Illusion or False Consensus Bias - The term "majority illusion" is a cognitive bias where individuals perceive a minority phenomenon as the majority - due to their increased visibility or prominence.
Majority Illusion occurs when a smaller but more vocal group appears to be larger / more prevalent than it actually is. This leads to forming an inaccurate / wrong perceptions; like you may think a certain viewpoint is widely held even if it is not. In this video we discuss more about this bias
