Occasionally we all make mistakes when we're soldering. Sometimes things get attached in the wrong place or even upside down. When this happens it becomes necessary to "Un-solder". In this video, Professor John Ahr or the Online Jewelry Academy demonstrates how to fix soldering mistakes.
The process is pretty straightforward. Essentially, all you need to do is reheat your soldered project back to a temperature where the solder will reflow. Once you've achieved the proper temperature, you can quickly remove or reposition elements. The secret to success is to position and hold your work so that it won't move while you perform the un-soldering operation.
