The BMW X6 arrived as a fully-redesigned model in 2020. The midsize SUV entered the scene with coupe-like styling, giving the automaker a stylish, modern, and performance-oriented midsize SUV. With the SUV entering its third model year on sale, we expect the 2022 BMW X6 to be a carryover model.
When BMW introduced the redesigned X6, the midsize SUV arrived with a daring, coupe-like design. The heavily-raked rear end of the current X6 is its standout element, as it gives the SUV a design that mimics a two-door sports car. The blunt rear end looks similar to a sedan’s, while slim taillights, a chunky rear bumper, and large exhaust outlets are also found at the back. The front end of the current X6 has enormous kidney grilles and air intakes. As a carryover model, we expect the 2022 BMW X6 to share the same design as the current model.
On the inside, the 2022 X6 should retain the same overall look as the current SUV. Angular lines on the dashboard, sharply styled air vents, and a center console that’s slanted toward the driver give the X6 a unique look. The sporty, three-prong steering wheel, large shift paddles, and stubby gear shifter are sportier elements on the inside.
On top of a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen, the current X6 comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 10-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, and five USB ports. Optional features include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Wi-Fi hot spot, a 20-speaker audio system, and a wireless smartphone charger. These tech features should carry over for the 2022 X6.
