The tribes of Nagaland are adept at crafts. Their crafts have attained a commercial proportion and are in demand not only in India but also abroad. The important handicrafts of the Nagas include wood carving, bamboo work, pottery, and blacksmithing. The huge village gates, house posts, and morungs speak volumes about the craftsmanship of the people of the state. The Wanchos, Konyaks, and Phom tribes are some of the finest wood carvers in India.

The Diezephe Craft Village is located 13 km away from Dimapur and is home to some amazing and skilled weavers and craftsmen who create wonders through their traditional art. The place is under the Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited for resources and support.
