Let's talk about roundup. For decades, Monsanto has been touting Roundup as this miracle weed killer. That it is safe. It is safe to humans. It's safe to animals. It kills your weeds, it does the job better than the traditional weed killers, and you can use it on everything. Well, that's not true. When it lands on the plant, it's absorbed through the leaves, or though the skin of the plant, and it kills it at its core. The concern was, does that happen to humans?
What we now know, and what we know that Monsanto has known for decades now, is that it actually is absorbed through the skin, and that it has potential for causing cancer. Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, either b cell or t cell lymphomas, have been conclusively linked as being caused by Roundup. What is so egregious about it, and the reason that the verdicts have been so big, is how long Monsanto has known about it and done nothing. And the reason they haven't is simple: money. They make so much money off this weed killer.
